I have forgotten this practice until recent visits to France where this is the second time it happened. The old trick give 20 and they give change for 10 after distracting you.
A snack bar in a train station isnever going to be much to shout about. This certainly isn't anything special at all. A bit scruffy, under-staffed. No style at all but the food will fill a gap.
I had to wait for an hour to catch the TGV to Rennes and thought this place looked ok. I should never have walked in. I had a chicken ish baguette and my companion had a sandwich that was mostly cucumber and a hint of tuna fish salad. Both were pretty terrible. Added to that was the really frigid temperatures to eat them in. Both of us had our coats on and it was still unpleasant. Next time I would head to Paul which is on the concourse above. It wasn't nearly as cold and the sandwiches looked much better.
When I land in CDG and I have to wait for a train my favorite destination is the class croute restaurant and then I order a warm dish call l 'envoutant staff are friendly with good english maybe a bite overprice
Blindé, cher, peu de choix, pas ou s'asseoir. Très bruyant. On y fait que passer pour trouver à manger. Pas top du tout.
