The Scotch Bonnet Kitchen - Trenton

Do NOT DoorDash from this location. I ordered my food for my family and it was missing 2 items. I called and the women tried to tell me i was calling the wrong location. After I told her several times that I have proof of my purchase through that particular location she then put me on hold and miraculously found my order. In an uninterested tone she said she’d get a driver to bring me my food that I paid for and it never came. Simple customer service could’ve resolved this scenario.

The best Jamaican food I have tasted in Trenton. So good it because my go to place when I feel like eating Jamaican food whenever I am in Trenton

After having gone here several times, they finally disappointed me. I ordered the small oxtail platter the last time (as usual) I went. I swear there was one small spoonful of cabbage, a BOATLOAD of rice and beans, which I love but NOT like that! The meat was okay except that one of the pieces was burnt and dried out. I can't justify paying $25, which included a bottle of water for that. Nope, I'll go somewhere else. I know it's gonna be expensive everywhere but I'll take my chances...

I ordered 2 large Curry chicken, 3 Beef Patties, and a large order of jerk wings. Everything was pretty good except for the jerk wings, they tasted old and looked old. I called the restaurant after tasting the wings, I said the wings taste old, they aren 't good, the woman says, we make our jerk wings every Tuesday. I said today is Saturday and it 's 7 o 'clock at night. She offered no refund, no exchange, nothing. We threw those wings out, the wind alone were $12.50. We will not be going back to that restaurant. So they better enjoy the $65.00 I spent, because they will not get another dime of my money.

Update 8/2023: Food has been more consistent and is always hot and fresh. Best in the area in my opinion.I think they have 2 chefs because food taste better on weekday evenings. Prices increased it portions are smaller. The small is now the large? I keep going because it's the only Jamaican spot I like in the area.
