This is important to note as the beachfront is full of restaurants and other places you need to take the kayak through the restaurant. We left our things at a table, went for a kayak in the bay and then returned for some drinks and food. Both were very good. There was a good mix of foreigners and Mexicans who visited this restaurant. Our only criticism is that it was almost impossible to get service. We had to hunt the servers, even though they served the table next to us.
Beautiful small beach restaurant in a gemstone of a city. Best guacamole we have eaten throughout our trip! Sea food empanadas super! Large family business with fast, efficient and friendly service. Would always go back!
Friends recommended that we visit Cuastecomates to do some kayaking. We were not disappointed. The bay is beautiful with gentle waves. There were 6 big sailboats in the bay when we visited. We had a wonderful time kayaking, then the beach, which lasted about 5 minutes, then found this restaurant. We chose it because there are some people eating. The service was good, like the food. We had the shrimp with Tamarindo sauce and the octopus with diabla sauce. We already had Diabla, but this time it was very hot. Well, we had cold beer to reduce the heat! We're going back.
Limpias y ricas.
We keep on this quiet beach every year on our 2 weeks Mexican vacation. Try the deep-fried red snapper... so delicious with salty crisp pieces of white meat. The water is quiet and the bathtub warm. Beer for 15 pesos and margueritas for 50 pesos.
