Contribuisci feedbackThere was almost no service and the experience overall was very stressfull: we had to order inside but there were no menu’s at the table, when I asked for a menu the waitress responded irritated that she already told me we had to order inside. The menu was written on the wall and a lot of people were waiting behind us in line, therefore our food and wine choice had to be very quick. We had to pay directly, before we consumed anything and had to take our own drinks and cutlery to our table. When ordering two main dishes and a shrimp cocktail the waitress said angrily that we should have ‘reported that it is a starter’. The fish was delicious.
Ze hebben 120 verschillende soorten wijnen van wijnhuizen liggend aan de moezel. Zeer geschikt voor een proeverij!
Auf tollen Fisch haben wir uns gefreut. Schon beim betreten des Etablissement fällt der intensive Fischgeruch und besonders der Fettgeruch auf. Hinzu kommt die unhöffliche, leicht arrogante Bedienung auf. Schnell kommt der Eindruck beim Personal auf - "wir sind was besonderes". Nun gut, abgesehen, kommen wir zum Essen, Fisch nicht besser als Nordsee (eher sogar schlechter), Preis steht nicht im Einklang mit der Qualität. Eine wahre Frische haben wir nicht gefunden.... Schade.... aber es ist nun einmal nichts anderes als ein Fischimbiss der Restaurantflair vortäuschen möchte. Fisch zu trocken und fettig.
So this is a restaurant with a wine shop upstairs. Mainly I was looking for lunch, not even wine tasting. But I knew they had some wine tasting upstairs, so I figured I'd try some to help me decide which wine to get for lunch. The guy upstairs tells me how it works... you can do a guided wine tasting of 6 wines for (I think) 7 EU, or for 15 EU, you get a glass, and try whatever you want, as much as you want. Wait... what???Oh yes, they set you up with a glass, a carafe of water, a bucket, and a variety of bread, and you can stay there till 6PM and try any or all of their 130 wines. For everything that you see on the shelf, there is an open bottle in the refrigerators. They give you some guidance on what kind of wines are located where, and then you have the run of the house! Each wine has an explanation (in German), along with sugar, alcohol, and acidity content. I ordered a light hors d' ovre of vegetables and smoked salmon for 7EU, and soon a massive plate of sauteed and marinated vegetables and lox emerges to accompany the wine tasting. So 3 hours later... I'm doing my best not to look like I'm stumbling out of there after what was intended to be just a quick lunch, thinking how much I'm really starting to like this Deutschland place right about now... But they do a brisk business this way. They're no dummies. Out of 130 wines, there's bound to be something you like. Well more power to them! I wound up getting 4 bottles because there's only so much you can stuff into checked luggage. I saw others getting cases. Wish we had something like this back home!
Gut, ich muss gestehen, als Oberbayer hat man eher den direkten Zugang zu Schweinebraten, als zu Fischsuppe. Aber ich fand sie richtig gut....... und was mich sehr überzeugt hat: Für 6,50 € bekommt man hier so richtig viel Fisch!!! Dazu einen schönen trockenen Riesling und die Welt ist in Ordnung!!!Sehr ansprechendes Ambiente und für die Weinfreunde unter uns: Im angeschlossenen Weinladen kann man sich so richtig in Sachen Moselweine austoben (wer sich nicht sonderlich auskennt, der bekommt hier wirklich gute Beratung!)
