Instead of making accommodation for me so I could sit with my service dog at the bar, they said that I could not sit in the bar area with my service dog. This is definitely an ADA violation and does not support people who have disabilities. I was told that the owner Dave Barlow was the one who made the decision. However, I was told that the bartender, not the owner himself. I think as a person with a disability I would have a place to sit at the bar for a bar room for me and an empty bar to sit for my dog. Instead, it didn't happen, and everything I was told was that my dog and I were a security risk from the bartender per boss. I am very disappointed at how they treat people with disabilities and especially those of service dogs.
Me? ve was here a few times, but only during the weekday, so I can not comment on their drinks or sports atmosphere, but it seems like a great place to watch the games as there are many TVs. The place is very clean, the service is excellent, and I had one of the best Cobb salads I can remember! I'd definitely go back.
A friend celebrated his birthday. The atmosphere is the one sports bar with games all around. The Greek salad was huge. I tried the naughty cauliflower soup, while a bit on the salty side, was creamy and even cheesy. My sister had her queen who enjoyed her. We all took food home to enjoy the next day. I would definitely recommend Varsity Club and will go again.
I love their fried fish get it every Friday huge and super crispy and light and flaky in HOWEVER what is with their frits!!!! They are served half-frozen, without season, absolutely disgusting. I have ordered them with my fish EVERY time in hope, it was only a single time, but they are really in line with these to serve, every time bland, not cooked/fried at all! How to ride a fish for perfection, but can the fries never get right? So whatever you do, do NOT order the pommes with something get any other side and you should be okay. Please, Varsity do something about your French fries....
We stopped in Tuesday, 11:30am . Other than 2 guys at the bar we were the only patrons. We ordered take out at the bar. Saddly I gave a tip. The Bartender did NOT include ANY plastic ware, ketchup, NOTHING! I ordered a Grilled Ruben and I dont think it had ANY dressing. Also we ordered a burger with American Cheese med rare. Unless it was white American seemed like it was swiss, and WELL done. Needless to say we were VERY disappointed will probably never stop again. ?????
