Sea Gull - Trivandrum

The selection of dishes was excellent. Everything was just right. The Baked Curd was particularly outstanding. The Darshan Team provided great service. The salad suggested for dinner was satisfying, and the Focaccia bread with olive oil was a perfect addition.

Friendly staff with good service. We ordered fresh seafood which was caught the same morning and the taste was great. Rice dishes are also very good. Price is fair, location amazing as it’s right on the water

The Sea Gull is in a terrific position, overlooking the sea and the quiet Samudra beach. During the day you can watch the fishermen pulling in their nets as you eat so you know all their fish is fresh! The food is really good, whether at breakfast, lunch or dinner. The curries are all top quality and full of flavour but there is also a variety of other things to choose from, particularly a range of fish dishes. Manu and the staff are friendly and make you feel really welcome. They will explain anything on the menu which is new to you. Wherever you're staying around Kovalam, it's worth getting a tuk tuk to Samudra Beach to sample the Sea Gull food.

Great spot, great drinks, great food and great hospitality from the guys. Oh and those tandoori king prawns........

We went to this restaurant during the week. I chose a local dish, expecting a delicious treat, but was disappointed to hear they were out of spinach. Despite this, the dishes we did order were quite tasty. They have nice tankards for serving soda, which sets them apart from other restaurants. If you sit at a table along the sea wall, bring a torch to help you navigate the steps.
