We came as an adult family (with +1s) to chill and see the northern lights. This is the most perfect spot. Cosy, warm, picturesque, relaxing and comfortable. Expect no frills, but great service and tasty home cooking. The sea views were amazing. We also enjoyed all the cake, the sauna and jacuzzi. We went snowshoeing and had a midnight feast in a shepherds hut. Completely wonderful.
We had an unreal stay at this idyllic place. Petting a pony and some sheep through our suitewindow felt like a fairytale. Great homecooked Norwegian food and a lovely restaurant/bar which made you feel at home. Sitting in the jacuzzi watching the Aurora in the snow was a magical evening. If you love animals and relaxation this is the place to go. Will definitely be back to see the goats and animals in the summer Thanks for your amazing hospitality and service, and thanks for having us!
We had a wonderful stay here in the very cosy mini house in February including an amazing last minute northern light show on our last night. Many thanks to Maria and Eivind for the unforgettable Norway experience!
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Yggdrasil hotel in the countryside of Tromso, Norway, and it was truly an exceptional experience. The hotel was located in a stunningly beautiful area, surrounded by lush forests and snow-capped mountains, and the peaceful surroundings made for a truly relaxing getaway. One of the standout features of this hotel was the exceptional local food served in their restaurant. The meals were prepared using the freshest local ingredients, with many of the vegetables and herbs grown on-site. The menu featured a variety of traditional Norwegian dishes with a modern twist, and each course was a work of art on the plate. The flavors were absolutely delicious, and the presentation was impeccable. The staff were also incredibly welcoming and helpful, with great recommendations for local activities and excursions in the area. Overall, I highly recommend this boutique hotel to anyone visiting Tromso, especially those looking for a peaceful countryside getaway with exceptional local food. It was truly a magical experience, and I can't wait to return.
