I believe this is the standout option for this unique fast food chain in Portland. While it's not gourmet, I really enjoy it. The atmosphere is cozy, and they do offer some healthy options, which I appreciate. I gave those a try, and they weren't bad. However, I'm really here for the fried food. There's also a Taco Bell, which is nice, but the highlight for me is definitely the fish.
The menu is currently quite limited as they share offerings with Taco Bell. I ordered the fish basket and added a side of shrimp. Both the fish and shrimp were cooked perfectly—tender and served in generous portions. The cocktail and tartar sauces were delicious, and the batter had great flavor. However, the dish was a bit too salty and oily. If it weren’t for those two issues, it would have been nearly perfect!
Was delicious, but not everywhere the quality I remember. Although I have eaten by indiana and I have only ever eaten in my city, it seems like the chicken battery quality here is less then what I use. Maybe it was cooked too long? I think the biggest disappointment was that this place no longer gives out the paper pirate hat. As a child, it was all part of the fun to go to long Johns. But I don't think so.
I like having the best of both worlds in one area. Service is good. They got my order right which was great since it was 30 mins before closing.
