Black Horse - Trowbridge

Friendly, friendly staff. Traditional style pub with many seating. Good selection of dishes, well cooked, beautifully presented and good value for money. Service was excellent from start to finish. Dog-friendly (although we did not take ourselves) with bowls of fresh, clean water.

The Black Horse is a fantastic, traditional pub in a convenient location. The friendly staff and owners always make us feel welcome. The food is great value for money - we enjoyed a delicious Sunday roast with drinks for under £20 for the both of us. You can't ask for better than that. Cheers!

We used to frequent this restaurant but switched to another for various reasons a few years ago. However, we decided to give it another try last night. The new chef, Tyler, impressed us with his excellent cooking. The managers were also lovely, serving us a portion of potatoes with chili sauce, which was both delicious and a great value at £5.99! The pub felt cleaner and had the same cozy atmosphere we remembered. It was nice to see so many people enjoying their meals. The hot plates served right in front of us were a nice touch. Overall, the restaurant offered great value and first-class service. The fact that dogs were allowed made the experience even better. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because the toilets could use some improvement. However, everything else was fantastic - a local, friendly pub with great service. We spent a total of £28 for our meal, including six drinks, which was excellent value for money. It's great to have another nearby option where we can enjoy a nice dinner without breaking the bank.

Fantastic food and great selection of real ale. The staff is friendly and serve honest, true food. They also offer senior meals with two courses for only £4.49! It doesn't get any better than this.

Nice atmosphere, very reasonable priced food and drink. Very good variety of food, great value for money. Dog friendly, nothing too much trouble, we would definitely recommend for lunch or dinner
