Robinsons Traditional Fish And Chips

I am 28 years old and as a youth I grew up in east ham in london. I have lived in the opposite of Hampshire/Wiltshire for many years, but recently moved to trowbridge after the attempt of all fish chip shops in the local opposite and they are just ok or shocking bad I decided to drive a little further and try robinsons. wow I am glad that I have not tasted fish and chips so for over two decades. the chips are freshly boiled, not excessively fat and are served in a bag with a lot of salt vinegar that I love how most chippies the smallest amount of salt vinegar up that they can hardly taste! there is something about these chips, I just can't make my finger on which makes them, as I used to remember in london, which is that they are after the taste, whether this is the special kartoffel or oil they use, I don't know, but they are delicious. P.S the portion size for a large is accurate, I can just finish a large chip with a chicken burger. the fish has a beautiful broken coating, crispy on the outside soft delicate fish on the inside and perfectly cooked to golden brown. the chicken burger is a fresh piece of juicy chicken, which is used the same as the fish and is freshly prepared on order, cooked again for perfection (golden brown) and non-fat, beautiful tasting! also the bungalow is a good quality back not one of these cheap bungalows that they buy from the super market. the customer service has always been excellent and we have only visited 3 times, the personal they call sir, thank you for their custom and are very polite. that is really a hidden gem and I would recommend it to everyone!

I had a gourmet burger topped with aged cheese and a delicious red sauce. I would say it was definitely restaurant quality. It was first-class, and I returned for another one after my initial visit. Really excellent!

I had fish and chips here last week, and it was quite good.

This is a spacious fish and chip shop! I've never been let down by my visits here. The food is well-cooked, served in generous portions, and it's always a great value! The staff is consistently friendly as well. It can get quite busy during peak hours, but that's to be expected!
