The Melting Pot - Troy

Our experience was amazing as always. It was my birthday and I got a plate with happy birthday written in chocolate and a chocolate covered dip strawberry. I also got a box of six chocolate dip strawberries to take home. We had the four course which started with our choice of cheese and then salad, and then our entrée and then, dipping chocolate for dessert . The employees are all great, from the management to the bus persons to the cooks to the wait staff. I won't go anywhere else for my big celebrations. Thank you Melting Pot of Troy. 

As my first time here the staff was not very helpful at explaining the service or ordering process. My drink was not as expected from the menu description and service timeframe was too long. I ended up paying $90 for cheese fondue, 2 side Caesar salads, 2 drinks and 2 soft drinks. Terrible Mother's Day experience.

My girlfriend and I went here last night with a reservation at 7:30. We arrived at 7:25 and were immediately seated. We sat there without anyone getting us drinks or checking on us for the better part of an hour. We were leaving at this point to find a place that would serve us. The manager talked to us said a not so convincing sorry and tried to make it sound enticing to stay. We decided to stay and try it. The food was okay. The waiter we had after all this was great. The bill came after we had been there for 3 hours (an hour and a half of which just waiting) you would think they would show if they were sorry and we ended up getting charged more than what we ordered. Never will eat here again. The management does not care about customers.

Lauren was one of the very best servers we've ever had. Food was great as usual. The only complaint is against another diner, not the restaurant's fault. This diner was with his wife daughter, but was talking on speaker phone to his friend through most of the dinner. Not a great dining ambience or experience!

Took our youngest for her 18th birthday. Big mistake. She was too grossed out at the raw meat and barely ate anything. Pricey; $160 for 2 but it was enough for 3. Cheese fondue was tasty but the raw veggies are too crunchy, would be better partly cooked. Nice assortment of meats for dinner as long as you can handle all the raw meat while your eating. Dessert fondue was the best part. That explains all the little kids there. I would say try it, but we won't be back. Many better places for much less.
