Thankfully, my good friends are members, so we've had the pleasure of dining there a few times for lunch and après ski, and it was truly delightful. The venue boasts a lovely indoor and outdoor space. We chose to sit on the sunny terrace with stunning views of the mountains. While the ambiance is somewhat understated, the service was incredibly friendly and attentive. We enjoyed some delicious Bloody Marys made with care; I had a chopped salad topped with a perfectly cooked chicken breast that was fantastic, and my friend raved about her Thai chicken sandwich, which she said was wonderful, accompanied by fries that were exceptionally crispy. The next day, we returned for nachos and cocktails, which were also excellent. If you get the chance to visit, I highly recommend it!
Getting to the venue was easy for our guests, who arrived after taking the gondola from the other side of the village. The space itself was spacious, featuring a fireplace and plenty of seating for small groups to gather, sit, and unwind. The drinks were great; we opted for a cash bar, and the bartenders were friendly and laid-back. For snacks, we chose quesadillas because they are a favorite among the men in our group. They accommodated our request to swap steak for chicken, as steak was already being served for dinner. Everyone agreed that the quesadillas were the perfect after-party food—easy to eat and great for mingling! A huge thank you to Dana and the Alpine Club for a fantastic experience!
As a member, I encountered some very rude employees. The customer service was quite poor, especially considering the prices they charge.
The Alpine Club is part of the Tahoe Mountain Club and is only open to members and their guests. We are lucky enough to have friends who are members, which allows us to join them here, at Alpine Club, in the Village, as well as Schaffers Camp up the Zephyr Express. This is a great place to rest after a day of skiing/boarding. They have a game room for the kids, which usually has a movie playing for them. While a little slow, the servers are always very patient and polite. They have wifi as well, so it's a great place to get some work done as well. I spent a couple of hours in here working while the rest of the crew skied. It's nice to have a place right in the village which is more casual than the reservation only Schaffer Camp. I do wish they had the slippers though...it sure would be nice to be able to pull the feet out of the boots for a bit. All in all, a great place in the Village with yummy enough food, and even yummier drinks. :
Terrific club that stores skis etc. plus good bar and breakfast/lunch spot for members plus other perks.
