Sticks Market - Truckee

This charming little spot near Donner Lake is a great find. They offer delicious sandwiches, perfect picnic snacks, and an impressive selection of beers. I felt for the one guy handling both the register and sandwich station, but he really does an excellent job. I tried the Turkey BLT and the Tahoe Tessie, both of which were tasty, but I definitely recommend the Tahoe Tessie. As for beer, they have a solid variety along with plenty of charcuterie options. If you’re at Donner Lake, this is the place to visit. All their sandwiches use Boar's Head meats, ensuring you get juicy, high-quality meat. The bread and toppings are fresh as well. No complaints here!

This is the perfect lakeside shop, with everything of very high quality. We like to refer to it as the "Beer Boutique." I recently discovered their store-branded spices, which are a great addition. It's just a short walk for us, and it often saves us a trip to Safeway.

While their selection may be limited, they usually have just enough items to meet your needs in a pinch, saving you a trip into town. The customer service is friendly, and the location is easy to find right on the main street.

Small town market with good service. We use this place for the small odds and ends we forgot or don't want a full supermarket for.

Literally a one stop shop. This is a great little market and Not just for picking up ice. You could make full on meals with their produce and refrigerated goods and lots of spices and condiments. Lots of goodies here.
