Parichat's Asia Thai - Truro

When we turned into the little motel parking lot we had no idea what to expect.

THE BEST!!!! Well, what a find! My wife and I had some time to kill on our way to Halifax airport, so we stopped in Truro.

Simple place, and you get what you came for. Superbe yellow curry. And loved the real orchids on the tables :)

I've had 3 great meals here and would recommend them to anyone. Great use of spices and ingredients. My meals were gluten-free (pad thai, red curry with chicken, tom yum soup) and all were delicious. My sister enjoyed her non-gluten free choices as well. The staff are friendly and can adjust the heat to your liking. I've eaten a lot of Thai food in Vancouver (25 years) and this was the closest to authentic Thai that I've found in NS. Consistently great.

We are staying overnight in Truro and saw reviews on this place & decided to check it out. The restaurant shares a location with a Motel & Lounge. Do not let this put you off. The restaurant is the last unit at the end. The decor of the place is similar to a diner simple but very clean. We shared the vegetable spring roll, Tom Yum Soup, the Thai Spicy Pork and the Thai Tea. Everything is cooked fresh and has such flavor. The owner came by to check on us and his wife is the chef. Just amazing. Also the fresh Orchids on the table is sweet
