Saloni Tapis Grill - Truro

I just had to check this place out based on the positive reviews. Stopped in for a solo lunch while on business in Truro. My meal experience was simply fantastic. I am certain every dish on the menu is delicious so you can't go wrong....even if you are unfamiliar with the options. Breakaway from pizza, burgers, and fries and open your mind (and your mouth) to the wonderful cuisine here. I am already planning a return visit with family and friends. P.S. Contrary to other reviews, there are indeed tidy washrooms available.

If you are in Truro, you can't beat this place in terms of food. I ordered the duck korma off the sandwich board as it was one of the daily specials. The main dish was delicious, but his ability to create a creative and completely unique salad is what has left me craving this place. Make sure you make a reservation for groups of more than 2 (even though website says 4 and phone message says 3) and bring cash as it is cash only.

Salonica Tapis Grill is an interesting restaurant.. The very knowledgeable and personable owner is Bangladehi in background but is widely conversant with southeast AAsian food. The dishes incorporate many spices and herbs to delicious effect. Mains are freely prepared. Be aware the restaurant is cash only and charges a $5 corkage fee to open a bottle of wine which you are welcome to bring. Mains run $18 to $26, starters and desserts under $10. Well worth a visit for creative, carefully prepared cuisine. A find in Truro!

Just recently became aquainted with this unique little eating spot. This is by far the best food experience in Truro. The range of flavors are amazing and what a pleasure to listen to the owner/chef talk with such passion about the food he serves. Truly a great experience.

We went here after reading good Google reviews and interesting stories from the owner of the B&B. It was not easy to find (it's at the rear, not directly at prince street), but the food was a true experience. The chef uses fresh ingredients and makes a lot from scratch.Words fail to describe the many different flavors and the beautifully arranged plates.
