Nando's Chicken - Tsawwassen

We arrived for dinner on a Thursday night after visiting WaterMania, and happened to notice the restaurant next door after using the TD Bank ATM.

The food at this restaurant was good, but the owner came across as very rude. Ironically, she insisted that I leave a tip even before I had finished ordering.

The food is decent, but the prices are ridiculously high. Charging $17 for kabobs made with processed fast food chicken is outrageous. This meal is worth no more than $12.

If it's only about the food, it's great! Service has really gone down hill since the owner opened this much needed and loved restaurant. Tonight we arrived to an almost empty restaurant. Placed our order at the counter and sat at our table to wait. My husband had ordered wine for with his dinner, with water for both of us and a Portuguese pie for dessert. Dinner came without water or wine. Several more groups were now in the restaurant. Half way through our meal, my husband went up to the counter to ask the manager for the water and wine. The water came (straight from the tap) but no wine. Several minutes later the server came to the table to say they were out of the wine my husband had requested. He re-ordered but it did not come immediately. Another server finally brought it but my husband returned it to the counter as we were almost finished our dinner. Another server came to the table and gave him his money back for the wine. In the end, I went up to the counter to ask for the Portuguese pie and the manager walked passed me twice without offering to help. I understand new businesses having a breaking in period but at the same time would have felt much better if the manager had come over and apologized for the mistakes. Dinner was good but not worth putting up with the lack of customer service.

We loved our experience here. We ordered a chicken to share and a couple sides. We had fun with the swanky pop machine and then dug into our delicious meal. Just the right spice level and yummy sides. Reasonably priced, but remember to go to the counter to place your order.
