I had passed by the establishment numerous of times and finally decided to commit to dinner here earlier today; my friend and I were immediately greeted with a warm welcome. Because of our lack of experience and knowledge with West African cuisine, we both were unsure of what to order. However, we were grateful to be helped by the owners and decided on Egusi. The love and care put into the cooking of our food could be tasted in the dish; absolutely delicious! I'd recommend anybody and everybody to eat at Alafia. Thank you and see you again soon!
Amazing African food. This was my first taste of this culture's cuisine. It was so good and filling! I had the #1 with a side of fufu.
Seriously amazing! I've been wanting to try this place for months! I finally was on that side of town considering I live on the opposite side of town, anyway I stopped in ordered food and let me tell you I was not disappointed! This food is amazing and I'll be back asap! The lady that was working today is super sweet the environment is inviting and very calming , this place is a must try ! All the way in for this local business! Thank you alafia
1st time here and I will tell you...the food was AMAZING I had Egusi w/chicken and fufu with a side of fried plantains. Everything was so good and very flavorful. Im definitely going back....highly recommended ?
I am so excited that this restaurant exists in Tucson! My friends I came here for a birthday lunch and were greeted by a kind guy working in the kitchen. He took the time to inform us of the dishes. We ordered the plantains, grilled fish w/ cassava root couscous, jollof rice and egusi w/ fufu. Everything was outstanding! 10/10. Also- ask for samples of the hibiscus and ginger juices. They?re especially great mixed together. I will be back!
