Nice modern seafood restaurant specializing in Pacific Mexican fair. The staff is curtious and friendly. There was never a time a drink was empty for more than 10 seconds and food came out promptly. I wouldn't recommend the tacos for dinner but they are excellent for lunch. Fish specials and the stews however are top notch, the marinated salmon and sea bass being prominent. The ambiance is also nice but can be a bit loud during peak hours. This has become our go-to for fine fish. If you go to Red Lobster in search of seafood instead of here, I will personally revoke your foodie card.
The decor is stunning, the staff is fantastic, and the food is exceptional. They offer dishes from the Sinaloa region of Mexico, which sets their menu apart from typical Mexican restaurants. The Seven Seas Stew is absolutely amazing—I ended up ordering it two days in a row! Other dishes are also excellent, as are the salsa and chips. I noticed another review mentioned the chips and salsa were just average, but I found the salsa to be unique and outstanding, unlike anything I've ever tasted before. The prices are reasonable as well. Be sure to check it out!
Overall, it was a pretty good experience. The seafood was fresh, and the margaritas were reasonably priced. The chips and salsa were average, but they made sure to keep them coming without us having to ask. The service was excellent, although we were the only customers in the dining room at the time. We might have just been lucky, but it seems like this place is more popular on weekends, as Mondays might usually be quieter. The decor was nice—quite fancy, in fact. All in all, I have no complaints and would definitely come back.
Casa Valencia is one of the best seafood Mexican restaurants in Tucson, alongside Mariscos Chihuahua, as they are owned by the same family. Regardless, Casa Valencia offers an impressive selection of fresh seafood dishes, including the BEST shrimp cocktail I’ve ever tasted—it's incredibly fresh, loaded with shrimp, and comes with a fantastic juice to enjoy with it. My friend ordered the garlic fish with shrimp, which was amazing, and he also loved the marlin fish tacos he had on a previous visit. The restaurant itself is clean and has a modern aesthetic, all while remaining reasonably priced. The quality of the seafood justifies the moderate prices, making it well worth a visit.
