I had a fruit cup that could have been riper, and my wife's onion rings were a bit too crispy for our taste. Our waitress was fantastic—she was efficient, attentive, and had a wonderful personality. Unfortunately, we didn't catch her name, but she mentioned she was from Germany and studying at UA. We had lunch before heading to a performance at Centennial Hall, and Gentle Ben's is very conveniently located.
We felt like an inconvenience during our visit. We came to celebrate a birthday, but it seemed like the staff didn’t care about our experience. One issue was that our waitress changed partway through our meal, but it shouldn’t have taken almost an hour to get the bill. The food was disappointing as well; the ceviche lacked flavor, the chips were stale, and the rice was undercooked. Overall, we were very disappointed.
We received outstanding service, and our food arrived promptly. However, my fish taco was a bit too salty for my taste. I ordered two Margaritas but didn't feel any effects, so I'm questioning whether they actually contained any tequila, as the house cocktail is supposed to have two shots.
Patio was an excellent spot to people watch and watch sporting events. Food was fantastic.
We had a reservation, were seated promptly. Service was good, servers worked together. Food was good, about what you would expect at that price range. Unfortunately, the noise level was nearly deafening, as a basketball game was on multiple TV's, and the sound system was cranked to 11.
