Guadalajara's Grill - Tucson

The interior of the restaurant is absolutely lovely, with beautiful decor, a great ambiance, and delightful music. The food is exceptional, and I particularly enjoyed the drinks and the tableside guacamole and salsa, which are prepared right in front of you. When I discovered this restaurant, I was surprised by how far it is from Phoenix. However, there was one downside: we had an issue with a particular server who identifies with the LGBTQ community. I have no problem with that, but his service was quite subpar. He seemed more focused on chatting with his friends who came by than on attending to the customers. Overall, I felt that he didn't quite fit in with the restaurant's vibe.

Our server, Paulina, was attentive and fantastic throughout the evening. As always, the food was excellent, and the tableside salsa was just perfect.

It seems like luck plays a big role in the service here. While the rest of the food maintained the usual excellent quality, we will not be returning to this location. It appears they either lack sufficient staff, have the wrong staff, or are poorly managed. As we were leaving, we noticed five empty tables around us, while a line was forming out the door with people waiting for a seat. The front of house seems to struggle with managing the flow of guests, which we've experienced at their other restaurants as well. They do offer authentic Mexican food, but be prepared for a potentially frustrating experience if you happen to have the same team we did.

Food, cocktails and service all very good. I would definetly go back.

Always great food. Waiter was great, but had too big of a section to cover. Still one of our favorites.
