Sonic Drive-in - Tucson

I am disappointed with the size of my fries at this restaurant. I ordered a large, but only received a small portion in a large container. The fries also tasted old, like they had been sitting for hours. This is not the first time I have had issues with my order from this location. I expect better quality and fresh fries when I pay for a large portion.

In June 2022, I tried some of the best shakes at this restaurant for a great price. The staff were friendly, spoke clearly, and made an effort to get orders out quickly and accurately. The drive-thru can still be a bit slow at times, but it's much better than it used to be. I'm glad I started coming back here.

I frequent this Sonic location because it is conveniently close to my workplace. Living in Arizona, it is refreshing to indulge in a cool, sweet treat occasionally to beat the heat. I particularly appreciate the option of sugar-free slushies. However, a major downside is the lack of pleasant and polite service from the manager, Arlen. I have encountered him on multiple occasions, and each time, the experience was disappointing. During my first visit, I ordered a milkshake and the lid was not secured properly, causing it to spill all over myself and my car. When I brought this to Arlen's attention, he displayed little concern. Today, while ordering lunch for my boss, she requested chili cheese fries. Upon receiving the order, it resembled a chili cheese dog, with the fries served in a long cardboard boat wrapped in foil, which left me confused (not being familiar with Sonic's presentation style due to being from California).Politely mentioning the discrepancy to Arlen, I received a rude response and a disapproving glare, along with a dismissive remark that what I was given was indeed chili cheese fries, before he quickly handed over my drinks. Overall, I believe this kind of poor customer service, especially from a manager, is unacceptable.

I visited here a few times before posting my review, I noticed I had previously rated this location 4 stars 9 months ago in December but after coming here 4 or 5 times and seeing the consistency of the food (great! and the speed at which it comes out and the REALLY good, kind employees, I knew I had to bump it up to a 5 star and add an actual review. This is the only location I can tolerate Sonic's burgers at in Arizona, good as I've ever seen it, drinks are always good, they don't forget things like mints. If you want Sonic, this is where you should go. Great pricing too.

Three drive in stalls open, and a drive through line a mile long at 10:15 pm, ridiculous. Had to edit this, finally get to the drive through and the ice cream machine is broken, place is trash might as well turn it into a parking lot.
