Caracara - Tugun

Very friendly staff, eating was delicious interesting different. it was a funny night

We have always enjoyed eating, service, drinks, music in cara cara, but yesterday was a great disappointment. the steak on the taco was rare and hard, in which usually melt in their mouth. I had to break the steak apart so that my son could bite it off. no cutlery or serviettes so I had to use my hands because it was hanging out of his mouth. they forgot to take our drinks order, and when it arrived, the chilli margherita was orange due to the amount of chili powder and fluff in the drink. I hope that was a situation. they feel bad for complaining, but they must be aware.

I'm local to Tugun and have been to this restaurant and bar before on quite a few occasions. My initial experiences when the owner was there were great. I'm not sure what has happened to this place. The margarita was amazing! the food was awful!. The steak was pretty much inedible although tried to persevere without choking. The burrito bowl was like mush, poorly presented, and had no flavour or spice at all. my daughter had the burrito which you would expect to pick up at a street stall. $92 later for 3 meals, a drink and a cocktail would be fine if it was enjoyable. I also emailed them to give my feedback, with no response. The overall care factor is poor. If you are just going for a drink and some good tunes, the hidden bar out the back is unique and cosy, aside from that would not recommend.

This restaurant has unfortunately gone from a 10/10 to a zero. Service was terrible, food was that terrible we could barely stomach it.

The vegetarian (pumpkin) tacos were delicious. My husband had the steak tacos and he said they were great too. Only negative is the seating; backless stools at a regular height table were quite uncomfortable after a short period of time. However, we did get to sit outside on a perfect night weather-wise and the staff were lovely.
