Not to say those things don't happen at dinner, just that the restaurant is a lot more crowded. Always good quality rolls and sushi!Dietary restrictions: They do have a gluten free menu available if you request it.
I picked up my brother and my sister in law from the airport, and went to trappers. (It was his birthday) we ordered our drinks as soon as we sat down. It took 20 minutes to get three drinks. When our drinks arrived, we finally got to order. (We also ordered another round) When our food arrived, the first thing I noticed was my plate had dried food on it. And was very rough on the hand. The second thing, was that our shrimp tempura and eel was literally ice cold.. We are about done with our meal, and our second round of drinks just arrived. There were no apologies, and no let me make this right for you.. definitely not going back.
July 22nd,2023We visited today after shopping at the mall. It was a slow delivery on service and food because the place had a steady flow. Our server was very nice and made sure our food was taken care of.Our rolls were loose and not stuffed all the way to the end creating short odd shaped end pieces. This has never happened to us before so we might be reluctant to come back to this location next time... We're not normally the type to complain because it all tasted great. We're what we wondered.TrapperMt si no avocadoMt rainierRock and roll no avocadoRelease the krakenCold house sake and the peach sake are also excellent.04/20/2023TrapperRammyRelease the krackenMr. UnagiEvery trappers location is super consistent and great! Always worth a stop.
Surprisingly roomy from viewing it on the streets. This restaurant has a nice vibe. We opted in for the lunch buffet which mainly comes with rolls that are not raw. Most of them are cooked or fried which is odd that there couldn't be more raw sushi rolls as the option. We got a good amount of food and definitely got a large return on our investment. The food was delicious however there was a discrepancy that original sushi chef had to take a 15 minute break which left us idle with nothing to eat because our next chef didn't introduce himself to us and proceeded to make to go orders until I had to talk to him about it and he proceeded to make our food. But like I said the food was appetizing. But one rule stood out as not that great which was the rainbow roll. It really felt like they skimped out on the raw fish and instead gave a huge amount of imitation crab in the center. But definitely want to come to the dinner buffet sometime soon. I'm hoping that it will be much more worth it.
I don 't understand the rating of this place.1st: everything in their menu has spicy sauce or jalapeno or some other spicy sauce. Later we understood why.2nd: it 's difficult to call it sushi. It 's mainly rice, bad quality rice. The fish in our rolls was the size of a crumb, left from someone 's dinner plate. My son likes rice, but he couldn 't even eat his roll, he took tiny pieces of salmon out of the roll and ate it separately.3d: we ordered our rolls without sauces. We understood that sauce was supposed to cover the bland, poor quality food. And the Nigiri Scallop, that 's difficult to mess up with, it tasted like water (probably was soaked in fresh water). Tasteless! Our waiter was nice.PS: we came to this restaurant because it was close to the Bounce the city event, our son wanted salmon roll so much. After we saw the menu we wanted to leave, but our kid got comfortable drinking his water already and using crayons they gave us. So unfortunately we stayed.
