Captain Jack's Stronghold - Tulelake

We had the prime rib dip. There was a lot of fat on the meat. The iced tea had residue floating in it.

Swung in early on a Saturday morning while trucking through the area. Good size parking area for trucks or RV 's. Was pleasantly surprised that the food was GREAT as was the service, they refilled my big coffee mug, and the prices were reasonable. I would make this a go to if travelling this route again.

Cozy little restaurant right off the highway. Came to find out that the restaurant been around for over 50 years! The previous owner passed, but the new owners are carrying over their legacy. The chicken sandwich was delicious with homemade buns, mayo, and fries! With the restaurant being in the middle of nowhere, they really know how to serve the passerbys right with some great food!!

Great breakfast there and good service. Also specially Chef decided to cook breakfast for us instead of lunch. Big thanks We will come back again, if we're heading to Lake Tahoe
