My husband and I were eating at this restaurant last night. Our meals were delicious. I baked spaghetti and my husband had Greek spaghetti. The little Greek salad was the best I've ever eaten. We recommend this restaurant very much. We live in Shelbyville and drove to Tullahoma to eat there. We'll be back soon! The service was fast and very efficient and polite and worthy of our business. The menu is extensive. Excellent restaurant!
Nicholas' restaurant in Tullahoma, TN is a hidden gem to borrow the set from the handbook published by the American Automobile Association. The owner is a trained chef. The quality of food reflects its knowledge and experience. I liked the restaurant of the European family restaurants when I lived there. There are many times the entire staff that is small are all family members. We have been eating in this restaurant since the birth of the two children. The children grew up in the restaurant and observe how they grow and mature is a pleasant experience. They are polite, knowledgeable, excellent students and reflect the values and working ethics one would expect from a family that has developed a small, successful business over several decades. The restaurant has always reflected the family-run nature of the restaurant. When the business was slow, one or both children worked at homework on a table in the corner or with a computer. While some reviews have negatively commented on it, I found it charming and reflect the values of the parents who increase their children. They were fully immersed in the family business. I have lived in large cities, enjoyed it in gourmet restaurants in France, Germany, England etc. and on luxury cruise ships with a staff of experienced chefs for different cultural tastes. I appreciate the difference in quality available in a well prepared meal with fresh ingredients. Large cities inevitably have some cooking-owning restaurants that stand out. The time to find them is worth the effort. The food is almost always fresher, prepared with style and experience, and the pride of the craft is visible in the quality of food. Most of these restaurants are more expensive and in many cases the reservation requires an effort in an area with a large population and an established clientele. The salads of Nicholas are always fresh. I don't do how or where the fresh tomatoes will get, but they are always on the salad, even during the winter months. The salad is always sharp. My preference is to give a piece of hot Pita bread to accompany the salad. My favorite meal always contains green beans here. They are fresh, well seasoned and always perfectly cooked. There is no problem replacing fries that come with some dishes with the green beans. It's a personal preference, but the beans are healthier and the best I've ever eaten. In fact, ordering a large salad with a lateral order of green beans is a good option for those seeking a low calorie, delicious meal. For those who appreciate a good steak, try a fillet mignon with a baked potato and green beans. The meat was always very tender and cooked exactly as ordered (absolutely) – also the smaller size of the fillets. The spices were better than similar meals that I ordered in restaurants in larger cities and which cost twice as much (but sitting with the plate on white cotton table cloths), as this meal that is only about $21. The pepper steak is another excellent option. We have eaten it too often in this restaurant and this dish is always served with the same quality result. There are several desserts. The baklava is cooked in-house and the result is always the same: a light brown color for the dough in this dish with many walnuts in the middle. Other desserts are also available and are delivered by a local baker. Try the chocolate cake with Marshmallow when a delicious taste is your choice for a dessert without considering what the calorie number in this dish can be. Since this is a cooking restaurant when there is a certain meal that desires a person who can call a day or two in advance may cause a person to be able to order and enjoy a special meal that is not on the menu. Undoubtedly it depends on availability and time available, but worth the experience. If you are in Tullahoma and have not done this, Nicholas' restaurant is worth a visit.
Especially the food was DELICIOUS next to it had sat for a minute before I came to him, so Pita was a little dry haha, but this is my fault! They said and told me they were from one thing, but reserved their last two from another to my pickup, which was like 6 hours later! Also an article or two was overlooked in my order, but it was a HUGE folder haha, my ocd entered and I wanted to try one of EVERYTHING and a few days after I had waited to see if the charges had passed on my card and when I told them they told me that this was how I had a voucher for this article at any time I wanted them or something that corresponds to these articles, no questions! Now this is an AWESOME BUSINESS!!!! We are all people and make mistakes or we would not need our Jesus so that they were more than willing to correct it! Thank you and we will be back!!!! May God pour blessings on you!
I had the Greek salad and lamb gyro- the salad came out fast but it was definitely fresh and delicious. My lamb gyro followed in a timely manner. It came with lettuce, onions, tomatoes and taziki sauce. It was a large portion for lunch so I did take home and finish the gyro for supper. This is a small, quaint family owned restaurant. The owner is also the chef and takes pride in what he prepares. No fuss, no frills just really delicious Greek food! I would love to see some stuffed tomatoes or peppers and maybe spanakopita! I visit tullahoma regularly and will definitely be back! Great place, give it a try’
