I hesitate most of the time when it comes to ordering and eating them because there are several instances that the octopus I preordered was chew, but the Amelia octopus was not at all and with every bite, it melts in your mouth and it was delicious. The place was very clean and organized.
Visually beautiful restaurant with Spanish inspired details. Sitting near the kitchen is fun research to find out what you want to order. Food is Southern American blended with Spanish and Italian techniques and ingredients. Baked green tomatoes are a pass, the corn soup was delicious, the fish was acceptable, although the presentation was not visually appealing (as VeggieTales exploded on my plate). American cuisine has no history or memory only mentors and inspirations.
We made a Saturday evening reservation in the cook counter. The kitchen team is professional and works fast. It was fun to cook them while we ate. The waiting staff is great, our drinks including water have been kept full. We started with the wood fired empanadas that were very tasty. I ordered the Chilean Lake Bass, which was perfectly cooked with great flavors. My wife ordered the venison sausages ricotta ravioli. Pasta was perfectly cooked and very well tasted. Amelia is on our need to go back to the list as there are many more dishes we want to try.
This place is really so good. I've never eaten disappointed here. I?d recommend to make a reservation. With a small party you can get lucky and have no wait, but better safe than sad. The menu changes several times during the year, but you will not be disappointed what you choose here. Last time I had the slowly roasted short rib marinated in A
My wife and I went to Tulsa for a concert and decided to try Amelia?s. It was a great decision! We both had the 8oz wood grilled beef tenderloin with Brussels sprouts, Patagonia potatoes and a shallot-peppercorn bordelaise and my tastes buds are still salivating at the thought of this wonderful dinner. In my wife?s words, ?this is the best dinner I have ever had!? Since we are both foodies, that?s an amazing compliment and one I agree with. It was by far on the best meals I have ever had as well. The ambiance of the restaurant was absolutely perfect. From the music to the staff, everything was perfect. The drink selection from wines to bourbons was also excellent. If you are ever in Tulsa, do not pass up a chance to visit Amelia?s Wood-Fired Cuisine. Make a reservation early to secure your seating and enjoy. An absolute Oklahoma treasure. We will return!
