The selection of cakes was fantastic, even in the afternoon, and they were delicious. I even took a piece home! My coffee was made perfectly to my liking - very weak with skimmed milk. My friend enjoyed her tea, especially the warmed pot that kept it hot. The tea sets were lovely, with unique teapots, and there was plenty of milk provided so she could have multiple cups without needing more milk. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was inviting. We will definitely be returning! Highly recommend. Thank you!
This lovely café on the old High Street is a small but delightful gem. As an independent establishment, it surpasses any chain cafés that serve bland drinks in a polystyrene cup. Here, you can enjoy proper tea in a charming and relaxing atmosphere, all while receiving friendly and welcoming service (with a smile that all corporate conglomerates should take note of). And don't forget about the delicious cake!
A rare visit back to Tunbridge Wells and good to see Juliet’s still going strong and becoming something of a local institution. It is still quirky with its mismatched furniture and crockery and wonderful window display of tempting cakes. It needs to be as good as it looks to stand out from the crowd, and the identikit coffee shops. Well, visit for breakfast didn’t disappoint. Had to wait for the door to open ay 8.30 the place was soon busy. Excellent breakfast always on the quest for the perfect scrambled egg, and this was first rate. Freshly cooked, nicely presented with chives and excellent coffee. Pleasant service too. Looking forward to another visit.
The staff are pleasant but too busy for interaction. Service was slow today . I enjoyed my coffees but the brunch is presented without the flourish of most establishments of this calibre. My daughter’s sourdough was the two ‘ends’, served with a palette knife ? , no garnish , minimal butter. Disappointing. The prices are high-end .
Never been to Tonbridge Wells before but picked this for breakfast after having a hot air balloon flight nearby. Perfect place to go after an exciting adventure. The service was excellent, really friendly. The menu was unique, with good choices not seen anywhere else. I had The Stack. Not normally one for a vegetarian dish, this was so tasty and very filling. I didn't need the extra sausage and egg I ordered! My partner had the scrambled egg on toast with extra salmon and avocado. Two fantastic dishes. The lemon feather cake was delicious and I got a sausage roll to take away. Wish we lived in Tonbridge Wells so could go more often!
