Contribuisci feedbackI can't believe this place is able to stay in business. On the hottest day of the year, they couldn't even offer iced drinks. I settled for a simple latte out of necessity. The transaction was quick, but I had to endure a long wait for my latte. There were people just standing around doing nothing, while I had to use an app to extend my parking time so I could wait for my drink. This will definitely be my first and last visit to this restaurant.
I just love the Pret baguettes! The Italian ham ones my favourite. Plus the coffee is usually decent. This was the purpose of our visit. Arrived at around 12:150. The cafe was packed. The seating was almost full, there were queues for the tills and drinks. Lots of people trying to look at the food offerings at the same time. I grabbed my sandwich and went to the till to order a coffee. I was served really quickly- there were 4 till people on. Then i joined a longer queue to pick up my coffee. I could only see 2 “baristas” so the wait was slightly longer. I think I eventually got my drink at around 12:35. This included getting food and paying too. Seating upstairs and downstairs. We found a clean table downstairs and relaxed for a while. Lots of people were looking for seats during our visit. It was chaotic, but calm at the same time. One thing I did notice, and appreciated, was the fact their sugar stations had every sugar faced up and lined up. Either someone has too much time on their hands, or this is a very pleasing standard.
Met a friend for coffee in Pret today. The only option was have the drink in a single use cup with a plastic lid. Shocking.
I went to this restaurant for a coffee and ordered a non-dairy option. When I got home, I realized that it was actually made with dairy. I returned to the restaurant and was told that the non-dairy option would have had a sticker on it, implying that I should have known. I explained that I was the only person in the shop at the time, but the barista reluctantly agreed to replace the coffee. However, I had to wait in a long line to get the replacement. I left feeling like it was somehow my fault that my order was wrong, and overall the service and attitude were poor. Additionally, the final coffee I received was so hot that I couldn't even hold it, let alone drink it. The quality of the coffee was also subpar.
I stopped by the restaurant for a sandwich and coffee today. The tables were dirty, with no cleaning done in between customers. The floor was littered with dropped food and could have used a good sweeping. This was really disappointing, especially during the pandemic when cleanliness should be a top priority.
