Had a fantastic time at this charming pub. The atmosphere, service, food, and overall experience were all top-notch. The prices were very reasonable and the place was popular with the customers.
This traditional, charming village pub in Kent is the perfect spot for a delicious Sunday lunch. With a cozy atmosphere, a roaring fire, and friendly staff, it's a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. The local ales on offer add to the experience, and the roast dinner is exceptional. Definitely worth a visit - we'll be back soon!
Being new to the area, I enjoy trying out new restaurants. However, this particular establishment was a letdown and I will not be returning. Despite the high 4.6 rating on Google, the service was subpar and the food mediocre. The staff seemed inexperienced and the menu options were unexciting. We ordered the fish pie and venison shepherd's pie, both topped with Dauphinois, but there were mix-ups with the dishes and the quality of the food was disappointing. The pies lacked flavor and filling, with an excess of potatoes. The drinks were also overpriced. Overall, it was a disappointing dining experience.
I had lunch at The Crown with a group of friends. Despite the gloomy weather, we were greeted with warmth and friendliness. Our food arrived promptly and we enjoyed a variety of dishes. The fish and chips were particularly delicious, with a light batter. The fish starter was generous in portion size. We had such a great time that we plan on returning. It is advisable to make a booking in advance, especially on weekends.
