The coffee was good and hot and the lovely waitress was a really friendly lady! Quick service on Easter Monday.
I write this with a real sense of sadness. Anticipating our first breakfast of the long weekend at our favourite cafe in Tuncurry, we were so poorly let down.Arriving to a half full cafe, coffee and orders placed for my wife, 2yo and me by 930am. Coffees comes in 25mins, with bacon/eggs, savoury mince and cheese Turkish arriving 50mins after ordering! Not one apology, no acknowledgment. I had to re-ask for my second coffee because it was forgotten about. How it takes 50mins to cook breakfast is beyond me.My wife's savoury mince w/ eggs had a shard of plastic in it, again - no apology, just a "we better watch out next time". Well, sorry guys - there won't be a next time. Now I am back to square one, this cafe was our home away from home for a number of years. Given the dearth of quality food/coffee options in Tuncurry, I am loathe to cross the bridge, but I may well have to.I will consider coming back only if you bring back the macadamia pancakes!
This café appears to be popular because it is located in the heart of the city, but I have to agree with previous reviews that service is very slow when it comes to getting a simple coffee, even when the place is not busy.
Please visit their website as this location no longer operates under this name. It is now known as The Oyster Man. They offer excellent coffee, but their service could be improved significantly.
