Burts Bbq Shak - Turlock

I felt it was necessary to visit this restaurant before it shuts down. I'm truly saddened to see such a high-quality, family-owned BBQ spot leave the Turlock area. Every piece of meat is incredibly tender and flavorful, even without the fantastic rub that accompanies it. The prices are a bit on the higher side, but that's due to the generous portions—enough to fill even two people. I strongly encourage everyone to support this establishment while they still can.

The service here is always friendly, there's plenty of parking, and the delightful aroma creates a cheerful BBQ atmosphere. I’m neither family nor a longtime friend, so I can assure you that any claims about the great ratings being only from personal connections are not accurate. I tried the hotlink, which was both spicy and delicious, with a great texture. There are plenty of toppings to choose from, including pickles, wax peppers, jalapeños, five different types of mixed barbecue sauces, as well as ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise. You may walk in as a stranger, but you'll leave as a friend. Skip the long lines for mediocre burgers and head over to Burt's for some real meat!

Great BBQ! The dry rub offers excellent flavor, with each type of meat featuring its own unique seasoning. The smoke flavor is just right, not overpowering at all. I sampled both the "regular" and "honey and brown sugar" sauces (there are more options available). Both sauces complemented the meats beautifully. I tried the chicken, ribs, and tri-tip this time, but when I return, I’ll definitely give one of the sandwiches a try. I highly recommend checking this place out!

We've been wanting to visit this place for a while, and it definitely lived up to our expectations! The meat was incredibly tender and flavorful, even without any BBQ sauce—just how it should be! I also appreciate that they support our servicemen and women. The staff was very friendly, and the regulars offered great recommendations on what to try next. The atmosphere was fantastic as well. However, I did have one issue; I planned to save half of my pulled pork sandwich for lunch at work, but it was so delicious that I couldn't resist finishing it all! Next time, I'll definitely buy a second sandwich to avoid this "problem!"
