While I understand Saturday morning can be busy, having only one person making bagel sandwiches for the cafe and the restaurant seems like poor management. The girls behind the counter we’re really nice and apologetic which I appreciated. Unreasonable to receive your coffee almost immediately to only wait so much longer for your food. Bagel was delicious otherwise.
We when we arrived we checked in to wait to be seated for a table with a wait time of 45 minutes. I was fine with waiting for a table to be made available. We were then seated and within minutes a server came to take orders for drinks to start off with. The drinks came very promptly and quickly. The server then asked for our food order. After the order was taken, more than 35 minutes passed and staff kept walking by. Staff is more attentive to certain patrons and focused more on tables that ordered alcoholic drinks. When we finally got someone's attention to ask about our food they seemed surprised that we even had food on our order and were waiting still. It took more than ten minutes for the plates to come to the table. The food wasn't worth the wait or the price. It's very bland and just added to the horrible service experience. I suggest not eating here and just leave if you end up getting ignored. July 23 2024
First time coming here and everything is pretty great. The chilequiles were pretty good and so is the mimosa. The food presentation is super nice. The service is good as well. Everyone is nice and quick to help. The atmosphere is definitely relaxing and fancying. Dining outside is the move.
Hidden gem in Turlock! Cafe in front is great for sum fast coffee and pastry but the restaurant in the back is so good. Cute fun inside/outside vibe. I always come on a weekday so it’s not so crowded. Chiliquiles banana Nutella pancakes are the bestttt. French toast is yummy too. We got the iced chai a vanilla latte and so good! 10/10.
If you want to take a picture of food for your social media then I guess this will work. I went there recently with a friend and had breakfast, to be honest it was ok...food was nothing spectacular and the decor is simple. I got the tamales which was on special. There was little flavor and the portion was pretty small. My friend enjoyed his food and honestly I wouldn 't even be writing a review if it wasn 't for the fact that my wife came home today and explained her experience there. Like myself, she went with a friend to have a light breakfast and catch up. After they ate , they were told shortly after that they needed to leave because someone else needed the table. While this is understandable if they were busy the way in which it was handled was extremely unprofessional. The host was very rude and condescending and the staff was actually laughing when she sarcastically told them to have a great day. Unfortunately that mean girl mentality seems to be prelavent in that restaurant as I have seen this in the comments before. For the price and the quality I would be hesitant to go back but the disrespect that was shown to my wife makes it very clear that I will not frequent that establishment again.
