Nick's Original Filet House

The wait was a little long but just sit down at the bar or sit outside and sip on a nicodemus while you wait because its well worth waiting for, the folks are friendly and the food is amazing, the fried chicken is the best I've ever eaten and the steak is superb.

Well I was reading some of these reviews and I am not sure why people complained about the wait being so long. I mean I waited a hour or so and the group I was with, we all enjoyed it.. they didn't have a gun to our heads, to make us wait.. so don't know what their problem was .. and then complained about the food. I mean come on people, if you are already mad about the wait, go some where else. That way, it will be room for the people who love the place I loved everything about my first time there, I will go back. It looks like there was some racists reviews on here too. Don't think this place is like that all. It was a bunch of fun, nice people working here to me. Makes you think that someone just got some people to go on there and make some bad reviews. There sure are a lot of 5 stars and happy people The wait is well worth it and the food is awesome, just like the staff remember people there is always two sides to every story and then Boom, there is the truth so I will be back..

Great Service and Atmosphere!!! It’s not a fast food joint, so don’t go expecting to be in and out quickly. Well worth the wait and you can’t beat the prices!!!

My wife Patricia and I sat at the same table we did 40+ years ago while we were students at Bama. We had the large bacon wrapped filets med rare with baked potato and salad. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted great. Love the atmosphere...hasn’t changed in 40 years. Love the Zombies and cold beer too .
