It was one of those where the local folks chat and welcomed us in. The owner, Dave, is an amazing Italian chef with a fabulous spaghetti sauce sold in 7 states. I had the Stromboli and my husband had the Philly cheesesteak. Both were excellent and HIGHLY recommended. If you are in the area, you won't be disappointed with the food here!!!
My daughter and I make sure to stop in here for a meal when we are in town. As fellow East Coasters, it is great to taste food from home !!The food is just like you 'd expect if you went to a family member 's home simple and GOOD!!Bella 's is family owned, and operated which means your waitress and busboy are the kids of the owner/cook. Everyone is friendly, and want you to enjoy your meal. (I say 'cook ' and not chef, because the food is genuine; you will never leave here feeling hungry!! If you are from the northeast, (specifically the Philly area, and you miss the taste of home cooked food or if you 're a Midwesterner, and you want to taste authentic Northeast and Italian cooking this is your destination. From burgers to Calzones, the cooking is from scratch all fresh ingredients daily; you can smell the tomato sauce simmering as you enter. (Oh, and about those Calzones eat 'em with both hands, please NOT a knife and fork
I've officially eaten at Bella's three times now. Five star experience all three times. This is not your typical North Dakota burgers fries small town joint (although I have heard his burgers and fries are excellent as well). Very good selection of menu items, and they're not afraid to cook up a custom dish for you.All the food is made from scratch. The cook isn't just a cook, he is a full fledged chef. Make no mistake, this is a destination restaurant.People from surrounding areas should take the drive out to Bella's. You will not be disappointed. As of 9-5-21 they are a cash only operation, so don't forget to bring cash when you come. I personally hope they keep it a cash only joint.
