Tall Boy's Restaurant - Tweed

My husband and I were biking on the e108 trail and decided to stop in Tweed for lunch. Tall Boys is minutes from the trail head and the patio was very inviting after the long ride. Service was excellent and the beer was ice cold. A couple of local ladies had recommended the fish & chips so that's what we ordered. It was delicious. I couldn't finish mine, portion sizes are very generous. We will definitely stop here again. ( Bathrooms were spotless and they carry 2 of my favourite wines...another reason to go back!)

Yes looks do deceive. Place does look run down but our meal was excellent & reasonably priced. Would go again.

On our way to Ottawa from Windsor we went through Tweed and saw Tall Boy's sign so stopped for lunch. I had Chicken Caesar Wrap and my sister had Soup of the day with Fish and Chips. Both our lunches were delicious, fresh and too big to eat! Great value for our money and the friendly atmosphere was a nice change from big box places. The owner, "the Friendly Giant" is why it is called Tall Boy's. He greeted us personally and was so nice and the staff were quick and friendly as well. Tweed has a great little restaurant. PS the Caesar was awesome too!

Many people will be put off by the location of the restaurant in the Tweedsmuir building, but once you get over that it is a meal to be enjoyed. The food was just fantastic. We were there for Easter dinner. I had the Ham special and my wife had the Turkey. Quantities were excellent and it tasted great. The server was attentive and helpful.

Sur la route de Toronto à Ottawa, petit restaurant sur le bord de la route qui ne paie pas de mine. Pourtant n'hésitez pas à vous y arrêter, car l'accueil est très sympathique et la nourriture bonne et très bien servie (fish and chips excellents, poutine bonne et Apple pie délicieux). Prix plus que correct, adresse qui mérite un arrêt.
