What a fabulous experience! we were a group of 5 who visited on the day of the father. 4 of our group ordered the low country boil and I ordered the snow country boil. both meal times could easily have fed several additional persons. so much tasty on both plates. we loved how the table has an opening in the middle with a drop-off container down to throw their scrap. the waiting staff was also fantastic. we came when they opened and fortunately were sitting immediately with the water, but the entire restaurant filled quickly. we enjoyed the habitable cats, saw the beautiful birds to house them, and also feed the alligators! Not only a fun place to visit, but a fabulous place to eat. highly recommended!
It is such a great experience to dinate under the big tree with view of the stream. my daughter loves to feed alligators, cats to huddling and to observe exotic birds. Eating is less important to us.
My husband and I went to the Crab Shack yesterday for a late lunch. The atmosphere is really cute and funky, and there are alligators and birds to see. The service was super attentive and friendly, and the potato salad and corn were delicious. But what should have been the star of the show, peel and eat shrimp, which I would expect (and should have asked about) to be locally caught had the lack of flavor and mealy texture of farm-raised, previously frozen. We were very disappointed in that.
This was probably one of the best restaurants we have eaten at! Food, service and atmosphere all fabulous!! Definitely a must and absolutely a will do again!
