From the moment I entered into the busy establishment [breakfast club], I was greeted with stellar southern hospitality. The hostess/waitress was extremely friendly and helpful with our orders. I ordered coffee, apple juice, pecan waffles, and cheesesteak omelet, which came with grits and toast. I love it. The seasonings were on point. The waffle was not too good, though. Maybe it was because it was dry, and I always opted not to use syrup because waffles have a buttery vanilla flavor, but these ones did not. Overall 9/10...I would come back to Tybee on purpose specifically for this restaurant. No pictures because the food was too good and I was hungry. My friends were pleased with their food as well. They got a bacon egg and cheese sandwich and one got French toast.
Key establishment on Tybee! The essence of a good all around restaurant lays within this down to earth, amazing, delicious home like place. There is something for everyone and families are more than welcome. We are a family of 6 with 4 kids 10 and under… our kids felt comfortable, relaxed and ate their food with no regrets. As someone who knows the food industry, the food is above excellent. The staff is next level, it felt like we were visiting friends we knew for years and vice versa. And the coffee, well, the coffee is freshly ground minutes before brewed, a pleasant deep roast strong enough to wake you, to the table steaming, fresh cream to ease you into the day. I will almost beg you, at the very least, to give The Breakfast Club a try.
Love this place. My late husband and I sat at the counter on our first visit 17 years ago. We talked with the owners while they made our order and got to know a few local people. The food is still as good this year as it was then. I had the Belgian waffle, bacon, a fried egg, and coffee. Two others in our party had the waffle with sausage. And the rest ate scrambled eggs, grits, hashbrowns, sausage, and chorizo sausage.
Please ignore all the other idiots leaving negative reviews. They clearly don’t know anything about ACTUAL good food. And Yes, You do have to wait outside and people have waited outside for this place for dozens of years and they will continue to wait outside for dozen of years. Because it’s worth it. Because it’s good. So if you’re going to complain about this place please don’t bother to show up so me and the other people that love it don’t have to share the line with you.
We got the waffles and chicken and pecan waffles and chicken. Great service but food was average. Not sure I'd recommend the place. Atmosphere is not there as well. Overpriced on the food and coffee as well for what you get.
