The Salty Pelican - Tybee Island

I’ve never left a review before, but the lady working the window today was possibly the rudest person I’ve ever met. She was flat out mean. To the point that it felt staged or maybe it was being recorded or something. We’ve met so many nice people since arriving on the island yesterday, but she was a miserable person to have working the window. I hope she finds some happiness.

Was never open when it’s supposed to be, closed early. The food was decent for the price but how can I buy it whenever it’s never open? Very disappointed.

I am only going to address the service which was by far the worst I've seen in a while. The lady behind the counter did not want to be there and it showed. My 10 year old daughter asked a simple question about the food and the lady not only ignored her but turned up the volume on her phone and kept watching on her phone. My wife then patiently went to ask a question (because we were trying to order simple ice cream) and the lady rolled her eyes... I mean, who does this especially when you are in the service industry and supposed to be serving others... Unbelievable. It's sad that one person can ruin the experience of what could have been an enjoyable time eating ice cream on the beach but this Lady unfortunately was able to do that.

The elderly lady that dips ice cream is so amazing, and sweet.We can't wait to come back and visit!!!

The salty pelican used to be really great, but we just went for the first time in 2 years and the lady at the register wouldn't stop looking at her phone to take our order. Then when she finally did, she got it wrong! And when I asked if we could get our original order, they said we'd have to order again.. but we'd already paid. They wanted us to pay 2x. I think we'll maybe just do a chargeback on our cc. Hopefully it was just an off day or she wasn't feeling well. The older woman who used to work there was so sweet and this lady wouldn't even look us in the eye :
