Wide selection of dishes and sustantial lunches. Very pleasant and helpful server that described that I could have listed everything on the Restaurant Week menu. I was offered ice water and bread (cream butter). I chose Crispy Calamari as my first course, which was slightly baked and so tender with three dips. Almost food. I chose Steamed Mussels Tuscan style and finished with an almond carmel cheesecake. Again this meal was worth the bargain $20.14 price!! I also learned from their happy hour dishes, half price bottles of wine days and more. A comfortable environment and an unpretentious staff for a 3-star restaurant. I wondered why I could not find the Italian sausage in my Tuscan dish and without question he offered me a dish of sausage and additional garlic bread to suck the mussels juices.
Fish tacos were excellent and so was the key lime cake. The service was great as always!
Come for the beer list, stay for the beer list. I was a night in town for work and wanted a place to meet some friends. I chose this place based on reviews, proximity to my hotel and the length of the beer list. I came 7:00 in front of my friends. The place was packed with a variety of happy hours people (they have happy hour on Saturday, which is tidy) and diners. I was initially alone and sat at the bar between 2 groups of middle-aged couples, the bar of a group of attractive 30-year-old women. A number of appointments were also at the bar. The Happy Hour Specials were good large cups of the 20-hour craft beers on tap and a selection of t he menu. I ate a spring green salad and pizza, both recommended by the bartender. In retrospect, I wish I ignored his recommendations and followed my own eye as neither great, and I thought there were better alternatives. Still, not bad. The beer list was generally the highlight. The place quickly cleared our at 7:00 in the 45 minutes after the end of the happy ones. My friends came a little before 8 and we easily moved to a bar table and got some Cursory waiting service from the bar. Not bad, though the beer list was by far the highlight.
Regular Customer. For me eating out has never been a joy until I discovered CG Tysons. It's a nice place with incredible service and great tasting food. In some restaurants, its either just a nice place but poor service lousy food. Not at Chef Geoff's, you get all three. The first time I was here was last year. I was walking down the street when suddenly it rained. I took shelter inside Chef Geoff's and noticed some people having Happy Hour at the bar. 30 minutes later, the rain stopped, but I was already starting to enjoy Happy Hour and was busy talking with a couple of other customers. I stayed for another 2 to 3 hours before heading home. After that experience, I became a regular customer until now.
