I paid only 89 euros for two people, 11 for a burrata from supermarket with terrible salad, 21 Euro Tartufo spaghetti with a Chinese mushroom without taste and 30 Euro for the worst white wine in many years! You can probably get pizza and beer there and be happy to feel frustrated because for this money I could afford a Michelin restaurant in the area without comparison in quality food you do not stay at this place, better at home
My husband's family is locals, and that's her place. I know why. Not only the food great, the Italian family who run it are fantastic hosts. My Margherita Pizza was just what I wanted. A beautiful balance of cheese to sauce, and a crispy on the outside, soft on the inner crust. I usually get this simple pizza when I go to the place for the first time because it's a good way to judge how good a place is. My difficult to please MIL over her aglio e olio pasta. The best part of the experience was the young son of the owner who served us our food. He changed slightly from German to English when he presented every dish. His demeanor was so serious to please and charming, my motherly instincts usually not present longed to drag him into a close hug and pamper him. Overall: I would come back in a heartbeat (even if the food was terrible).
Good authentic Italian cuisine and wine! Friendly service! Very popular, so reservation recommended (at least on weekend).
We found this on Trip Advisor and made a reservation. It is an intimate restaurant with great service. The food was excellent. We had as an appetizer the Carpaccio di manzofeine Scheiben vom rohen Rinderfilet mit Rucola und Grana Padano KäseI had the Saltimbocca vom Stauferico-Schloss-Steakmit Parmaschinken & Salbei, dazu Bandnudeln in heller Bratensoße and it was very tender and delicious. My spouse had Spaghetti al salmonemit Lachsfiletstückchen in Zitronensahnesoße & Basilikum and enjoyed it.The Pinot Grigio was great. Nice and dry and served very cold (not always the case in Germany!)Definitely make this one of your stops when in Überlingen
