My wife and I have been following the grappolo under franco for almost 6 years and already his predecessors. it was never a noble Italian, but always very good average. under franco until augusdt 2017 still far above the average quality of the ware, flat and touching the preparation and personal, friendly service. it had a very good call wide and wide and the guests even came out of further distance or made a trip especially to the grappolo. that will change soon. da franco is no longer present (september 2017) I have rarely experienced such a qualitative crash in a restaurant. meat and fish only mass goods prepared from the meat table. sweet and without raffinesse. deliciously cooked and tasteless. - this is a sauce dito. pizzen thin and slim covered and also dust dry like potato chips. who likes, we don't. then also manual errors: e.g. in ossobuco, the inn slices were cooked instead of swollen, as the classical recipes pretend. only the price remained the same or was even increased. we do not look at the price to quality and pay for good eating more. but what is currently in the grappolo is not even worth the price. also the service has become a catastrophe. we have always been treated very friendly and accommodating as masterpieces with some fixed visit times. whether we were in the restaurant or were sometimes ordered to pick up. that's history now. on 05.01.18 reinvented in the evening: when the waiter called, the waiter explained that he did not know what was on the black table as a daily dish. they stand in the rain and he doesn't have a desire to get out. but they would've cleaned themselves in the offer. we didn't want these dry parts. we were finally allowed to order with pfifferlings and band noodles with an additional salad. the steaks were miserable, twitty and not even subway quality. the pfifferlings were isolated as a fungus mixture from the bag with Japanese slim mushrooms. the salate was fresh, but without dripping dressing. all the murken then cost 40 €. for this miserable quality an unholy! instead cucina a la franco now disastro balcanico. You're not an Italian, and that's a pretty obvious thing. it is also not suitable for anyone to comerier and service, just because it has an Italian name or looks south. As long as these operators are on work, the grappolo will no longer see us. for the late hunger we prefer a döner in erbach or order at pizza. de tastes better and is not more expensive.
Unbelievably bad, a groundless cheeky absolutely terrible. my risotto was rather a caricature of a risotto, not a risotto rice, but a suppenpuffrei with cheap peck stripes, without mushrooms, completely unusable. my espresso corretto then came in a cold coffee cup instead of in a preheated espresso, absolutely dilettanish for an Italian restaurant, and also undamaged expensive. my mushroom risotto was a terrible caricature of a real risotto, not a risotto ray, just an imbued normal rice. my espressokorretto was then cold and came in a large cold coffee cup instead of a warm espressotasse.
We have visited osteria grappolo for a few summers and visit ulm, eggingen. I must say that this is the best Italian restaurant that I arrived north of mailand. service is typical Italian, casual, personal and friendly eating is really good pizzas and...pastas great, especially pasta aglio, oglio e peperonchino, which takes her mouth on a trip to the south. the location in the heart of the village eggingen is a little removed from the beaten away, but easy to find. I can recommend osteria grappolo if good Italian cuisine is on their agenda.
One of the best Italian cuisine north of mailand on my travel. absolutely excellent pasta aglio, oglio. peperonchino, taste this. beautiful personal, friendly. location of the most important routes in small village eggingen only underlines the glamour of this Italian food stone. I have already visited some summers there and everyone visits is a welcome.
