We had a wonderful breakfast today and the owner was very friendly and accommodating. The falafel burger was absolutely delicious and very flavorful, definitely worth trying!
The service is terrible considering the price we paid. The food came cold, and the portion for two people was insufficient. Definitely not a place I would visit again.
When mbassy was opened in ultimo for the first time, it was one of the first caffes in the wentworth park. it quickly developed a cult that centered around its red velvet pancakes, which remain on the menu today, four years further. in the following period are more...Cafes in the local opposite are jumped, especially at the bases of the new residential towers, the sydneys second densely populated to form potts point in the suburbs). the local Mbassy team has made the best with the concrete jungle to be at the foot of a high building by creating a boiler room. it sits under an angle of exposed pipes, each two g ending in a Edison flower. the steampunk vibe continues in reusable bicycle pedal stools and recycled wood floors mounted on pipe fittings. they are filled with a quirky collection of the Australian 1920s. the knickknacks running from trumpets to old cameras and phones took the brothers, marcus and tamer gorge, to assemble a year, and countless trips into antique shops. they must admire their commitment to detail, which extends to the water bottles, vases and sugar cans, and a sid tapia wall painting of a 1920s larrikin on a wall. by using frosted glass on the curved corner windows, locally mbassy isolate them from harris streets heavy traffic and make them their only look at the sunny green gras of the wentworth park. it is a good way to get a risk of high ascent for your own lack of morning sun, the difficult architecture and the descending high way down william henry street. when they turn their attention to the rough concrete front counter, where more pipe connections secure a recycled wooden bench surface, they find a collection of bought baked goods. next to them there is a correspondingly copper detailed la marzocco coffee machine that triggers credible Campos coffee. they are complemented by a series of colourful warm milky drinks that run from red velvet to matcha to taro. hot coconut $4.50) is unusual enough for me to give him a whirlpool, especially as it is for metal chairs and underfloor eating. it tastes like cocosis, so I think that sweet condensed milk is integrated into the mix of milk and juicer cocose that drinks a bit sweet for me. the open melt $17) is here fancier than most, with 10 hours braided boar bell, which is decorated by brown sugar, cinnamon and star anise. the thinly cut boar is very well made, eat well against spinat, bland mozzarella cheese, house wobble pickles and a runnyj olked fried egg. What I like most about local mbassy is that they obviously have no fear of being different. the idiosyncratic decoration is made from a menu that fits vegetarian moussaka $19) into an breakfast dish. in a cast iron pan, the layer of aubergines, zucchini and mushrooms is covered in a light tomato sauce with a creamy inch of béchamel. while it comes out ten minutes after the melting of my companion, everything is forgiven when I see that the super fluffy béchamel was made fresh. it sounded like a strange predisposition, but moussaka worked surprisingly as well as a winter vegetarian warmer against toast served on a brand-shaped wood paddle. do they see what I mean about their commitment to detail?
As a coffee and pancakes addict, I like finding new places that combines both. This cafe is a gem, the cappuccino was one of the best I've had and the signature red velvet pancakes were delicious. Be aware of the huge portions, the pancakes can...probably feed two people easily. Will definitely come back if I stay in the neighbourhood.
