Taj Mahal - Umeaa

Good food but poorly presented on a metal dish. It's not the quality that we had for 4 years ago. To us it seems that the owner has changed. In one if the cups in the metal dish was a teaspoon of tomato sauce that was hardly worth the trouble to put it there.

If you have other options, avoid eating at this restaurant. We decided to make a pit stop off the highway with hopes of trying some tasty Indian cuisine. Unfortunately, when we arrived, many of the vegetarian dishes on the lunch buffet were already gone and not replaced. The staff barely spoke any English or Swedish, making it difficult for them to explain the dishes. When we expressed our disappointment at the checkout counter, the employee was incredibly rude and defensive. He mentioned that the restaurant is old and that other customers don't seem to mind when dishes run out, even though this seems to be a common occurrence. Overall, our experience was not pleasant.

Good Indian restaurant with a lot of choice and affordable prices. Called to order take-away as most places were closed on a Sunday evening, was ready within 15 minutes, friendly and quick and the portion was generous.

Lunch buffet was greasy and uninspired. If it is after lunch, close your door don’t invite guests in and say time’s up soon.
