Mi Ranchito - Unger

This was our first visit here but judging from other reviews our experience was not unusual. We arrived approximately 6:30 pm. We didn't get seated until 7pm. The problem was that the hostess/ waitress didn't even acknowledge us nor did she even seem to care that we were waiting. She moved very slowly like she had nothng to do. It took her 15 minutes to clear and empty table and wash it as if no one was waiting. It took an additional 10 minutes after we were seated to receive menus. It was 15 minutes to get chips and salsa brought to the table and we still haven't had anyone ask for a drink order. We have now been in their doors for almost an hour. We would have went somewhere else but we had walked here and everywhere in town closed at 8 pm. The chips were not hot or heated like most Mexican restaurants. We finally had our order taken closer to 8 pm but again waited forever before receiving our order. At no time did a waitress offer to refill our water or stop to see if we needed anything else. We had ordered the Burrito Camino Real and a Combo Fajita. The Burrito was warm not hot but reported by granddaughter that it tasted good. My fajita was sizzling hot when it arrived but the meat was clearly overcooked and some pieces of the beef were definitely charred. It had plenty of onions but only 2 slivers of green pepper. There was no cheese on the side too make the fajitas. Portion sizes for this type of meal was very small and prices very high compared to other Mexican restaurants. There was also an additional 3.5 fee added for using a credit card. This fee was not advertised anywhere. I would not recommend this restaurant based on my experience.

If I could give no stars I would, my husband and I are from out of town and wanted to try a New Mexican spot out. Well I should have listened to the other reviews! We walk in and no acknowledgment from any of the servers, it took me saying something to get seated! Once there a “waitress” got chips, salsa and queso then said are server would be over. 20 mins later no drinks, no acknowledgment at all! My husband went up and something then she came over and we decided to just leave!!! Thank you for ruining our out of town Friday date night and we leave town tomorrow! AWFUL

We have been to this restaurant three different times and every single time the service is HORRIBLE. The hostess barely acknowledged us, and we had to flag down a waitress to refill our drinks, which also took entirely too long to fill. We were not told until after we ate that the credit card machine was down but there 's an ATM down the street. Obviously I don 't mind paying for our meal but having to wrangle two toddlers to an ATM AT THE LAST MINUTE when clearly the machine had been down for at least the entire time we were there was pretty ridiculous. There were only like 8 other patrons while we were there, so I feel like there is no excuse for the terrible experience. All that being said, I really enjoy the food here, which is why we have returned. However, this past visit will be our last. The service was so bad I can 't justify spending money there again.

Mouthwatering delicious Mexican food! Never a disappointment and always worth the wait during busy hours. Excellent salsa and queso!! Mmm….?

This is the best Mexican food I’ve had in years. This place is nestled on a side street in downtown Berkeley Springs and is cozy. Prices were very low, especially for the food quality.
