I decided to try out The Taste of Ghana after hearing my coworker rave about it, and I was not disappointed. The cozy atmosphere truly made me feel at home, and the food was absolutely delicious! I ordered the Jollof rice with Goat, which was served with sweet plantains, coleslaw, and a bottle of water. The goat was tender and packed with flavor, although I found the Jollof rice to be a bit on the salty side. However, that didn't stop me from devouring every last bite. I can't wait to return and sample more of their menu.
I don't like talking bad about a place, but this time I'll do it. Did you ever want to eat special meal badly? That you get your way to get it, and you finally found a place that makes it. Drive over an hour, pay almost forty dollars to be disappointed. I cried. I hate wasting food, but I couldn't eat it after the first bite.
The dining experience was terrible! The Okra soup was black and had a stale taste. I will never come back again! I ordered Okra Soup and Fufu but was disappointed. The service was poor, with the owners not even smiling. The prices were too high, so I recommend staying away. How can they treat customers this way? SMH.
The food here is good. I ordered the croaker with Jollof. I was disappointed to learn that the fish I received was not Croaker. Unfortunately, most people do not know the difference. Next time, I'll order the Snapper. Instagram @KenKooltho
