Just Like Mom's - UNION BAY

I must say it took me almost 3 yrs to stop here, every time I drove past I would say " I will stop there on my way home"..Finally I did..and to what a great surprised..I was greeted by man whom I purchased 2 dozen eggs the proceeded around the driveway to the cutest lil building. Inside it was filled with baked good pies , cookies , bread you name it they had it ! I purchased a Lemon meringue, sourdough bread & macaroons. The bread was fantastic and the lemon pie was the BEST Ive ever tasted. Great job Baker's. I will be back most likely this week, I won't be able to drive by again without stopping!!I Wished I had noticed Hours Open .

Made a point of stopping here after reading reviews and was not disappointed. Well stocked with all kinds of baked goods. Freezer chock full of fruit pies and cinnamon buns (took home to bake, both delicious). Several types of cookies, tarts, cream pies and other goodies. Fresh eggs available at the house which is just up the driveway. Fun place to take visitors. Bring a cooler for your frozen items. Will go again!

Homemade bread (white) is the absolute best I have ever had from a bakery. Lasts a few days & makes great toast. Same goes for the coconut cream pie... so rich and delicious. A little goes a long way. Tried the lemon meringue pie as well - also excellent.

Wonderful spot to stop and get home cooked goods. friend hosts and easy access to highway. everything is great from cookies, pies, cakes, and bread!!! enjoy you next visit

We always stop in for goodies when we visit Vancouver Island. This trip we scooped take and bake cinnamon rolls (I had noIdea that was even possible...but boy were they terrific hot out of the oven) and a strawberry rhubarb pie that was equally delicious!!A must stop if you are driving by...they have good signage so don't pass it by. You won't be sorry
