Applebee's - Union City

I wish I could share my thoughts on the food, but we didn't even get a chance to be seated. There were plenty of empty tables, yet we ended up leaving along with a family that had been there long before us. They hadn’t even had a chance to order drinks. What is going on? I've noticed the quality has been declining, but this was just too much. Service: 1, Atmosphere: 1.

We dined there on Saturday evening and ordered the 2 for $35 deal, starting with the Spinach Dip as an appetizer, which unfortunately arrived cold. The Bourbon Street Chicken was overly salty. We later found out that the manager was also the chef, which made it surprising that the food wasn't up to par. While we were there, we noticed around 10 people leaving because they weren’t being attended to or seated. Overall, I would rate the food a 2.

We like going here to sit and watch the game and have a few appetizers and enjoy the atmosphere period. They always have such a great service and the food is really good and so well cooked. You don't think of Applebee's is having such amazing food but this one does.

I had a great experience at this Applebee's! The server was fantastic—friendly and efficient. The beer was cold, and the food was hot and cooked just right. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, which is exactly what you want from a chain. After a long weekend filled with family meals from the church ladies, I really needed a cold beer and a delicious hot chicken sandwich with perfectly cooked bacon!

When we arrived, we stood by the door for quite some time, waiting for someone to acknowledge us. Meanwhile, the staff was gathered together, chatting, and seemed entirely uninterested in the guests at the entrance. To make matters worse, there was a terrible smell in the air that had a strong vinegar-like odor. After about 10 minutes of waiting without any service, we decided to leave.
