Walters - Union City

Just because you opened a restaurant doesn't mean you can cook. Food was bland and I don't want to even mention the potato pie because it wasn't a sweet potato pie. One of the worst meals I've eaten in a long time.

I have visited this restaurant several times after discovering it during work trips. It offers authentic seafood dishes, a cozy atmosphere, friendly southern hospitality from the hostess, and high-quality food. I highly recommend the fried chicken, ox tail, and sweet tea. The prices are very reasonable as well. This place has definitely earned a spot on my list of favorite local dining spots.

I absolutely adore this fantastic soul food restaurant. I have been dining at Walters for 25 years, starting when they were located on Cleveland Avenue and then moving to Flat Shoals. I will drive an hour just to eat here, as it is incomparable to other seafood places. The sides are perfectly seasoned and the main dishes are equally delicious. Everything is finger-licking good! I highly recommend trying the juicy and tender oxtails with their flavorful greens and homemade macaroni and cheese. For those who miss their mother's homemade cooking, this is the perfect spot to satisfy that craving!

This from all places is the best place I recommend that they cook home fresh meal homemade potato salad and many other different side dishes and desserts they go out and they get their money worth?

This was my 1st time in this restaurant and I loved it.. I've found me a new kitchen to eat from I had the catfish dinner thst was cooked to order so it was hot and delicious. I had cabbage, cornbread, mac n cheese and candied yams on my plate. It was only 15$ and I couldn't believe the price...I would have paid 20 for that meal. I will ne back.
