The Speakeasy Saloon Resort

Every time we passed by the Speakeasy Saloon Resort while at the seaside, we always talked about wanting to dine there. Finally, last autumn, we decided to stop in and I sincerely regret not doing so sooner! The surroundings were beautiful with large windows offering a stunning view of the forest outside. The food was delicious and well-presented, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Conveniently located near some of the best hiking and riding trails in the NEPA, the Speakeasy is the perfect place to enjoy a lovely meal or book a room for the night. Since our first visit, we have dined at the Speakeasy several times and have never been disappointed with the food or service. It has become a must-visit during our trips to the seaside.

Since its opening, I have rarely visited this restaurant, only a few times per season. However, I have always been satisfied with my dining experience. The restaurant recently added a permanent pavilion to expand its dining room capacity. The bar in the main dining area comfortably seats 10 people. Unfortunately, on my last visit, the rib dish was not available on the menu, but I understand this may be due to supply chain issues. Despite the busy atmosphere in the main dining room during my 6:30 pm dinner reservation, the staff remained attentive. I did not have to wait long for a beer refill. Overall, the restaurant did a good job with their existing resources. I enjoyed the rib-eye sandwich, although I wish the cut of meat was a bit thicker.

We have dined at this restaurant frequently. The food is good, as is the ambiance. However, the service could use improvement. I understand that it can be difficult to find good help. With 38 years of experience in the service industry, I know that customer service is of great importance. While I don't expect waitresses in formal dresses or waiters in tuxedos, a dress code would be appreciated. It often feels like the staff has been pulled off the street to work. The prices are higher than average, and I believe that improving the service would justify the cost. Well-dressed and properly trained staff would enhance the perceived quality of the restaurant. I feel disappointed when servers rush through their duties without paying attention to the customers. Despite dining here frequently, the owner has never acknowledged us, which is disappointing. As customers, we want to feel valued and welcomed, as we are the lifeblood of the business.

We weren't in the resort because we were living in front of location. we had dinner at the speakeasy Saloon/Restaurant. is delicious an understatement. the portions are very large, so they bring their appetit when they visit. for 3 of us our bill was a little over $114, the appetizers, salads, warm bread/butter/garlic oil, main course, desert and 2 drinks per included. the appetizer were crab stuffed mushrooms, little tease clams in an old bay seasoning and suppe of the day. the salads were a perfect space for our entrees that were prime rib mr, clams with white sauce over linguini, and brot shrimp parmesan over linguini. we all shared a large disc of their rainbow cake. we have taken a lot of food home because we couldn't finish our main course. the service was as usual on point. a 5-star experience. Reservations are recommended as they are very busy especially during the 6/7 time of the clock.

We traveled down from NY for dinner. Staff was friendly. Service was prompt and efficient. We had appetizers, salads, entrees and beverages. Our prime rib was delicious and cooked just right. Salmon was delicious. We will be back! Worth the 40 minute drive for the quality of our meals. Thank you
