ZERO STARSUpon seating: Waited ~15 20 minutes for a server to take our orders/acknowledge us. When cake arrived, no utensils were included. Eat with your hands i guess lol? Ice cream began to melt for an unreasonable time until we could flag down a server to actually be able to eat. Orders were mixed up; no real sense of empathy from service staff. Marshmallow was randomly in the middle of a cold milkshake and not on top, ended up being a rubbery nasty eraser like texture. Everything tasted extremely sweet with no other flavour, basically like eating cups of sugar. Vanilla ice cream didn 't taste like vanilla, just tasted like generic sweet white flavoring . Bathroom not clean/no soap. Pricing not great relative to the quality of food, but not unexpected. Large portion sizes.Pros: Nicely decorated, I guess?

Treats are always delicious here. The portions are very generous. Unfortunately, it always takes a while. I don't know if they need more staff or equipment to make waffles and crapes.

We had the Belgian Waffle with chocolate ice cream and bananas. Forgot the exact name of the topping but boy it was delicious. It was good enough for three adults and two ravenous under five year olds. I could’ve had the whole thing myself but kind of on a diet ?. The iced coffee with Nutella I would not recommend. The other fruit drink was okay. Service was not good in terms of our wait time. Over 30 minutes. It was probably the kitchen.

Desserts (particularly, their ice cream) are delicious here! However, I wish there were choices for smaller more reasonable portions. Most of the menu items here are usually too large for my liking and am forced to order a bigger portion than I’d like, or order the single scoop which is one of the desserts that’s on the smaller end.Service is fine but at times can be slow, we also often find ourselves running low on water and would need to prompt for it.Pictured is the flight of fancy delicious but there should be a better plate that can be used so that when the ice cream melts it’s less messy.

I have been consistently going to this location for nearly 6 years with friends and family. I rotate between their red velvet cake with a side of ice cream, ice cream crepes, and seasonal sundaes!Recently, I came during a rush but the host that night, Kingsley, managed to seat not only me, but everyone else as swiftly as possible. The team here at Demetres Downtown Markham exemplifies passionate and exceptional service during every visit!I heavily recommend this fresh, decadent, and addictive gourmet dessert shop!
